Last week :(

This is just a short update of how work have been for me after the last blog post and what else I have been doing.... everyone should know what I have been up to. * looking guilty *

So this is my last week working in Toppy and I have to say that the span is really short, I don't really have a choice because I am leaving Hong Kong to London for studies so I would need a bit more time to prepare and get everything ready.

The first thing I did was.. MAKE MORE BROOCHES!!

The new one I did is this ah-dorable sun with a shining smile!

Other than making my own brooches, I have been doing some hunting within the office and I think I found something REALLY interesting ^^

And I did a bit of doodle cos of the weather.

After a little update on my work life, let's talk about food that I had this week, I had really good take away food this week but I totally forgot to take photos before I eat them (I never actually thought of taking a photo until now to be honest). But yeah anyway, I went to this Japanese restaurant and OMG I had the best meal ever. Well not really but it was so fulfilling. And that is because THEY HAVE HUGE SALMON SASHIMI!!!! When I mean huge, I actually do mean HUGE!!!

Can you actually see how BIG it is?? It is huge!!!!!!!! I loved loved loved it <3

A nail polish update, I did a dripping nail art and I might do a video on how I did this design.

It is just a really adorable cream color base with a sharper contrasting color on the top for the drip marks and to vamp it up a little, I added crystals onto it.

Well and last but not least, my guilty haul photo of what I got during the week, or in a day.

Most of these are from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection and I have been looking forward to getting them for AGES!! I can't put it in words how happy I am about them =]







The weather has been really good in Hong Kong for the past few days, the sky is blue and beautiful and the sunset looks just like a miracle.

VERY short post

Hi everyone! I am just posting to tell you guys that I have been very productive and have been editing videos of my trip. I will post them onto this blog and you guys can sort of see what we have done and I think I will be picking up vlogging soon when I get my camera ready, WISH ME LUCK!!

Another Work/ Holiday Update

Let's talk about food for a bit. I have been buying breakfast to work at the mtr station every single morning now and because of that, I am addicted to soy bean milk.

I don't really have a preference between the normal soy bean or the black ones, honestly they both taste the same to me ^^ The funny thing is that for this brand, they call the black one sesame, which is hilarious cos there really isn't any in there =]


After breakfast comes a lot of snacks, at work we have this huge cabinet where people would put snacks there and we all share food, and of course when it comes to more chances for me to shop, I will never stop.

I found this in 7-11 and aren't they so cute? They are actually mini size of the original one and they taste different (cant' explain...) Trust me, I bought way more than you are seeing here ^^


I have been hanging out for dinner after work few days a week and I ended up in Mcdonalds for dinner one day. Since I was there, I have decided to try the 18 pieces Mcnuggets with the 4 different sauce due to curiosity.

I like only the honey mustard sauce totally and the others are just okay. It was such a waste though because I only finished half of the nuggets so if I am going to order that again, I am so gonna share it with someone or bring it home for my brother or something.



As mentioned before, I don't really exactly have much to do in work. So I have been able to find different ways to keep myself entertained.

The first thing was the make accessories out of materials I have around me.
This is a bow tie tie :) I really like it cos it looks really cute on a person. Liking the tape measure twist to it as well ^^

The second thing was making things in general. I was attempting to make a beaded heart shaped brioche for the company to use, but this is what ended up of it.

Having so much free time on my hands, I started playing with apps on my phone and this happened

Thirdly, I come up with the most stupidest ideas yet thinking that it is the most brilliant ideas at the moment.

I don't know why but somehow I thought that would help the connect of the internet....

Lastly, I have been doodling a lot

Other than working, I did a bit of sightseeing as well ^^ A friend of mine from Korea came to Hong Kong for a visit so I brought him to the peak (Y)

WORK WORK WORK WORK :)

It have been one week and three days ever since I have joined the working class. I have to say, I am still very happy and enthusiastic about everything here. Though everyone is telling me that having an actual job is really boring, I beg a differ. It might seem like you are doing the same thing over and over again, but then nothing can be exactly the same, you would encounter different problems with different people and they would all have different reactions toward things. Just like my first week here, all I did was draw draw draw draw, but then now thinking back to it, I have been drawing different things and for different purposes and I have been breaking different barriers everyday.

I have no idea why I went into a whole philosophy phase, anyway going back to my week.
This was my working table from yesterday, I have been drawing designs for them to use, we shall see if they are going to use it or not ^^


Since I was designing, I decided to line all my colors out to make it easier for me to choose from, they are SO PRETTY!!!






Something outside my work life this week is that my brother came back from New York and he brought back things that I have requested as well as items that I bought online and got sent back to my uncle's place. Sadly the Anastasia Brow Kit wasn't delivered and it was my most expensive and the one I looked forward to the most. Oh well...... here is the overview of what I got.


Colgate Wisp, I heard Michelle Phan talking about these a VERY long time ago and have always wanted to try them out. They are perfect for people like me who doesn't want to bring their toothbrush around to brush our teeth yet we will want to clean them after meals...


These were the elf products that I bought to give them a try, I have swatched them but I still haven't had the chance to actually try them out yet, I have to say that the Studio makeup brushes are amazing, if you are in the states and you just want a makeup brush to use and either that you don't want to spend too much on one or you need a spare one, try the elf studio ones. I shall let you guys know how I think about the products in the other blog that I have.


I ordered a few scent shots from Candles by Victoria, I have heard quite a bit about it and so I decided to get a few to try them out. As a few of you might know, I have an insane fetish for candles and scents and I do believe that these will be amazing to add to my collection.


This was a gift for my cousin, yes this is a fortune cookies soap 'In the Loop". Oh well... since it came all the way to Hong Kong, I guess I will just use it myself.

HAUL of the day~

This wasn't an intended shopping spree but some how I managed to get quite a few items. But before I went crazy over shopping, I went to see the movie 'Mr. Popper's Penguins'. I have to say that the movie was really funny, the story line is very cliche but if you like comedies then this is really worth watching. Now into the shopping.

The first thing I bought was an eye shadow refill from MAC. I got Satin Taupe because I have had heard good things about it, I have to admit that when other people said that it would look shimmery and very hard to wear but when you actually swatch it on your hand, the color has a perfect satin finish and is really beautiful. I also got myself the Prep + Prime Face Protect Protection Visage. It is my second purchase because I am almost out of the first one, I don't believe that I have done a review on this product but this really is worth the talk.


A pretty bad swatch of the eyeshadow I have to say, but as you can see even with the flash from my camera, the eyeshadow doesn't really reflect a lot of light, especially when the flash was in such a close distance.

Have I mentioned that it was my first eyeshadow for my MAC palette? 1 down 14 to go!!


The second (technically the third) thing I bought was this insect repellent. I have seen the commercial of this a lot, and the little girl in there was really adorable. I personally am the type of person who would spray a very small amount of insect repellent around my bed to keep the bugs away from me. I know that sleeping with chemical close to you is really bad, but I hated bugs WAYYYYY more. This insect repellent is DEET free and it is in safe reach for children, so I guess that this repellent is safer for me to sleep around. This still has that insect repellent smell to it but it smells less like chemical and more organic some how. I tried it on myself today and even I can't take the fact that I smell like insect repellent so I would suggest this product for either people who don't mind carrying that smell around or for people who are like me who wishes to keep the bugs away when we are defenseless in our sleep.




Thirdly, I went to Maud Frizon today and I picked up three pairs of shoes. They always have these shoes that they would put on sale for $299-$499 and they are usually their basics. It is a really good deal when some of them are actually 50% off and they look really beautiful. So today I picked up two pairs that were on sale and one pair that I just can't resist having.

This is the first pair of shoes. They are very beautiful and bright red, perfect for color blocking as well as for a pop of color when you want to look less dull. Also red is always a safe color for shoes and for people who wish not to wear it on their bodies. These are the ones on sale and I do believe that they are made out of part leather and part fabric.

These are the second pair, they are the exact same pair of shoes as the first one but just in a different color. As you can see, this is their basic design for their shoes. very adorable ballerina flats. There is a funny story behind this pair of shoes, somehow I was actually given two left-shoe instead of a matching pair, therefore I had to run back and get them exchanged. One thing about their shoes is that even just because of the fabric, the size might just change a little. For me, the red ones were better fitted when they were size 40 and as for the off white ones, they are actually 39. I manage to learn that because the exact thing happened to me the first time when I got a pair of blue ones as well as the yellow ones. So if you are going to get shoes from there, I won't suggest you to just walk in, ask for a pair and leave, REMEMBER to definitely try it out for even my mom needed different sizes for different colors of shoes.


These are the third pair that I bought today. These weren't on promotion but they are considered to be quite affordable in comparison to other shoes this brand carries mostly because it consists more fabric than leather which makes it more affordable to produce. A lot of you won't spend $600 on a pair of flimsy fabric flats but I have to say that I have a soft part in my heart for any lace product and knowing the fact that they are too detailed for the brand to put it on promotion and it is so cute that it would be all sold out by the time it reaches the next sale season, so I just had to buy these babies!!

Lastly I got this Honey Pump Lip Essence by Majolica Majorica. It comes in their lip gloss tube and it says that it would keep your lips moist. I liked the MAC lip conditioner so I decided to try this out and see if it is compatible to the MAC one. This will be reviewed on my other blog in a short period of time!

My First week of work :)

As some of you might know, I have started working ever since the beginning of July, and it have had been a week now. Just want to blog about the week to show you what I have done for the week =]

So basically on the first day, I got there by 10 but I had to wait till 11 and was brought down to the department that I was working at, and then I waited for another 30 minutes until I actually get to sit down and get instructions for work. At first I thought I would be doing some photo copying and stapling but I was told to read magazines and draw for the day, and yes that is what I have done for the WHOLE day. Thank god I didn't get told off when I was playing with my iPhone (mostly because half the time, other people were too busy to care about me)


Don't ask my why but I had a bundle of coloured masking tape with me so I have decided to revamp my wallet and my notebook :) Liking it?


That night, I met up with Josiah and Stephanie (TWO OF MY FAVOURITE PEOPLE!!!) and we had good food and an amazing time <3 Isn't he cute??? (HAHAHHAHA)


Fro-yo was a definite must eat!



The second day, I asked my boss what else is there for me to do, and she said that she was happy about how willing I was to work so she went over to ask a colleague and asked for some fabric, then she told me to design something with those fabrics. So long story short, DRAWING again....

And of course, I have had been procrastinating, A LOT!


I found a whole bunch of plastic tag holder thingy ma bob and due to curiosity of whether it is long enough to fit my wrist, I fastened it around my wrist without knowing that I have fastened it way too much and it was stuck, I had to use a pair of scissors to get rid of it at the end, as you can see, I was THAT bored :)




On the third day, I found out that the measuring tape has brought me a lot of pleasure, I was fiddling with it and a magnet cumulatively for at least an hour.


Some how because of the kicking in of the boredom, I totally forgot about the law of physics, where when hot water meets plastic, the plastic melts.


I just did more drawing and a bit of cam whoring ^^



For a little present for myself for not quitting my job one day after working, I bought myself a 15 colours MAC eyeshadow palette =]






As for today, I went out for lunch and I found something that I haven't seen for quite a while, popping candy. I don't know how many of you have had this before but I personally really love the feeling of the candy popping in your mouth and hitting around the sides of your mouth, SO EXCITING!!


As usual, I did MORE doodling today.


This is such a legit excuse to procrastinate during work, reading the magazine for inspiration by reading the beauty section instead of the garment section. Trust me, my wish list have been growing in double for the past few days.


Some how, I decided to give it a try and attempted henna tattoo with my hand cream, a total fail :(


After I got home, I had so much free time not knowing what to do, I decided to give myself a pedicure and rainbow toe nails <3
